About The Gallery

The MiraCosta Art Gallery showcases a wide variety of contemporary exhibitions that appeal to both students and the broader community. It is housed within the new state-of-the-art Media Arts Complex on MiraCosta College’s Oceanside campus.

This spacious facility features indoor and outdoor displays of student artwork, faculty, alumni, and local artists. The space incorporates sustainable design elements such as natural daylighting, energy-efficient fixtures, eco-friendly interior and exterior finishes, and drought-tolerant, native landscaping.

The Art Gallery and Media Arts Complex were developed through a design-build collaboration between HMC Architects and Balfour Beatty. The $25.8 million project was funded by MiraCosta’s capital improvement program, supported by Measure MM.

The MiraCosta Art Gallery opened its doors on February 11th, 2025, followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony on March 26th, 2025.
